This book will grip you from page one, but be forewarned, don’t get too attached to anyone, they are not guaranteed to survive. In the future punishment for any crime determines that you get put out, oh and while you’re there, clean the lens. The only way to keep the camera lens clean is for someone to clean it. There is no sunlight and the only view of the earth is through some cameras positioned outside. ![]() The only way to survive is to live underground in a Silo. Set in the future, the Earth has been left uninhabitable. ![]() Was it because they used wool to clean the lens to the outside or was it because everyone had wool pulled over their eyes? I never figured it out and I guess in the end it doesn’t matter, maybe it’s a little of both. I thought I knew where the title came from. I wasn't interested in reading another dystopian novel but a fellow bookseller said "You have to read this! I am not telling you anything else about the story." I am glad she didn't and I am going to tell readers the same thing. Wool is the best book I have read in 2013.
